AN electrical industry expert from Morpeth is looking forward to his new challenge.
Keith Gascoigne, pictured above, who has been involved in many national and international projects, is now Head of Business Development for the North East at fire and security system firm Scotshield.
He has been appointed to expand its capabilities and operations in the region.
As a self-employed project manager, his work involved nuclear projects in both the energy industry and the military, and also covered many commercial schemes. He was involved with the construction of the Channel Tunnel, both the English and French sides, installing state of the art x-ray security systems to scan HGVs.
In 1994, Mr Gascoigne established his own company, where he employed engineers to carry out electrical contracting. Five years ago, he was appointed by a firm to head up a major projects division involving complex and high-value contracts in the fire and security industry.
He said: “It’s great to come into a new role within a company and not begin from a standing start. I’ve had a huge amount of experience in the industry, which is highly beneficial when looking to secure contracts.”
