Vehicles are in safe hands with award-winning driver Jim Bradley.
For the Morpeth man has just received a top honour from his employer for his dedication to health and safety and outstanding achievement.
Mr Bradley, who works as a driver for Speedy equipment rental firm in North Shields, attended a Safety Day organised by the Health and Safety Executive, the regulator for such issues in the workplace.
Officials leading the session were so impressed with Mr Bradley’s attitude that they contacted his bosses to highlight his exemplary conduct.
And now he has received a Speedy Excellence Award.
He said: “Words can’t describe how happy I am to win this award. I love my job and it’s a great feeling knowing that my work hasn’t gone unnoticed.”
Speedy Area Services Director for the North Ian Moore said: “Jim was commended for his commitment to his duties, most notably for his health and safety procedures.
“He has an excellent work ethic, positive attitude and his willingness to go above and beyond on a daily basis is why he has won this award.”
Awards were presented in several categories, covering safety, innovation, efficiency and service excellence.
Speedy Chief Executive Mark Rogerson MBE said: “Our people are our greatest asset. The Excellence Awards were created to recognise their efforts and to thank those individuals who make an outstanding contribution in their work. I would like to congratulate all of our winners, as well as those who have been highly commended, and also to everyone who was nominated.”
