A luxury Northumberland hotel has added to its management team.
Matfen Hall Hotel and Spa has appointed Paul Walker as Operations Manager.
Mr Walker joins from Rockliffe Hall in County Durham, where he worked as Food and Beverage Manager for three years, having previously held senior management positions at hotels across North Yorkshire.
He will be responsible for maintaining standards across all areas of the 53-bed hotel, spa and leisure club, which covers 300 acres and is the ancestral home of Sir Hugh and Lady Blackett.
Mr Walker said: “Matfen Hall has a superb reputation within the hotel industry.
“It’s a superb example of what a family-owned hotel should be and every single person I’ve met is justifiably proud to work there.
“Absolutely everything it offers the guest, from the food and facilities to the standards of service and the attention to detail, is of the highest possible quality.”
Managing Director Bernard Bloodworth said: “We are delighted to welcome Paul to Matfen Hall.
“His management experience combined with extensive industry qualifications will make him a considerable asset to our team.”
