Each month, one of the traders at the Wednesday market in Morpeth tell their story. Next up is My Fair Lady, owned and run by Alison Harris.

Alison started out selling jewellery and accessories in January this year.

She has found success at markets across Northumberland, with her popular bag charms helping to make her stall unique.

Other items that have sold well include her Disney range of accessories.

Wanting to expand the business, she decided to branch out into the clothing side of the market and for three months now has been selling an assortment of items. A range of pretty summer tops are currently available.

Even though Alison’s business is fairly new, she has found that by attending markets regularly she has quickly built up a loyal following.

She said: “I started My Fair Lady because having always worked for other people, I wanted to be able to do something for myself.

“I have a real passion for selling and love being able to have that relationship you build with your customers.”
