A dedicated student has secured a job after impressing during a work placement.
Harry Huntley, from Morpeth, completed a two-week placement with manufacturer the Tharsus Group as part of a wider three-month course with the Prince’s Trust.
The 22-year-old was working on various assembly projects at the company’s factory in Blyth.
He so impressed bosses at the original equipment design and manufacturer that he was invited for an interview for a permanent position. Now Mr Huntley has been appointed an assembly operator.
He said: “After spending two weeks at Tharsus on work placement I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the manufacturing industry. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity and will be working hard to repay the faith they have placed in me.
“I must also thank the Prince’s Trust, without it I wouldn’t have had access to the great work placements.”
