Morpeth firm wins Northumberland apprentice honour

An engineering firm that works with apprentices, has been named the winner of the Apprenticeship Ambassador Award.

Morpeth-based Clifton Engineering, is a precision engineering and polyurethane moulding company, which was established in 1993 to supply local manufacturing companies.

The firm has since expanded to become an internationally respected supplier of sub-contract precision machining and component manufacturing and currently employs 34 members of staff.

The company picked up the Apprenticeship Ambassador accolade, sponsored by Northumberland College, after impressing judges at this year’s Northumberland Business Awards, beating off competition from The All in One Company, Age UK, and Thermacore Europe.
