The Country Landowners’ Association has boosted its North of England team by appointing a new rural adviser.
The team’s new recruit, Libby Bateman, previously worked as a constituency officer for Beverley and Holderness MP Graham Stuart.
Ms Bateman will provide advice and support to 6,500 CLA members in the region.
CLA Regional Director Dorothy Fairburn said: “I am delighted to welcome Libby onto the team. She has extensive experience in rural and land-owning issues.”
Ms Bateman said: “I have first-hand experience of the challenges and opportunities facing rural communities, and I am very much looking forward to meeting and working with the CLA’s diverse range of members in the region.”
Ms Bateman lives near Kirkby Stephen in Cumbria and is married with a nine-year-old daughter.
