North East Livestock Sales sold 51 prime cattle including 12 cast cows and 835 sheep comprising 532 hoggs, 15 lambs and 288 cast ewes.

Cattle: With six day standstill still in play fewer cattle were shown and quality in short supply.

Sale topped at 228.5p for a Limousin steer from EA Storey & Sons, Startup purchased by R Turnbull & Sons, Alnwick.
