BUSINESS leaders can take a crash course in networking at Northumberland College.
The college’s Kirkley Hall campus near Ponteland is gearing up for its first Northumberland Supplier Expo next week.
Businesses will be given the chance to promote their products and services, network with others and put themselves forward as one of the college’s preferred suppliers.
There will also be lectures and seminars by respected business figures and opportunities to discuss apprenticeships and training with the college’s Business Development Team.
Finance Manager Julie Irwin said: “As a college and large employer we have a unique opportunity to work with a very diverse range of product and service providers as we routinely buy anything from artist easels and bricks to computers and livestock, in addition to all of the more mainstream business and office products.
“We felt that by offering to host an event for our suppliers we could provide an excellent opportunity for them to network with one another, to promote their business products and services and learn how they might be able to work more closely with us as a preferred supplier in the future.”
The event will take place on Tuesday, from 10am to 4pm, including lunch and refreshments.
