A MORPETH business is helping to keep a North East transport operator on the move by supplying it with its third major piece of equipment in five years.

Arriva’s Stockton depot has received its third Stertil 4-post lift, LED lighting kit and Majorlift air operated jacking beam from Gott Technical Services in a deal worth £33,000.

The family-run motor equipment supplier, based in Coopies Lane Industrial Estate, has a long-standing trading relationship with Arriva after previously supplying it with two Stertil 4 post lifts in 2007 and 2011 respectively and supplying and maintaining its other garage equipment over the years.

Director Ian Gott said: “The fact that Arriva has come back to us for the third time to provide it with this large specialised equipment shows that we can deliver on time and budget to major commercial vehicle and coach servicing industries.

“Arriva relies on us to provide a reliable service and we have been able to tailor our proposals to suit its requirements, for example the first lift was provided on a lease rental deal because this suited their budget better at the time.

“In each case these lifts were supplied as a replacement for old worn out lifts that had been in the workshop for many years.”

Gott Technical Services currently has more than 500 clients from small garages to large multi-site motor retail groups. It also operates as a consultancy in the public transport, haulage, local government and emergency service sectors.
