TIME is running out for businesses to take advantage of a free support programme for tendering.
The Procurement Centre offers advice to Northumberland businesses on the procurement processes, helps them to become ‘bid ready’ and complete tendering documentation, and holds workshops throughout the year.
Staff also help companies to use e-tendering portals and there is a matchmaking service to link clients to appropriate opportunities.
But with funding for the free assistance due to run out in less than six months, businesses are urged to use the service while it lasts.
Procurement Centre Manager Sinead Moloney said: “Our aim is to provide businesses in Northumberland with the knowledge and confidence to be able to submit winning bids.
“If we can get local businesses prepared and ‘bid ready’ not only will the businesses themselves have acquired new and essential skills for winning business in the future, but they could also potentially bring much needed income into the local economy.”
