CARE home staff from Morpeth have helped raise £1,200 for children’s health initiatives in the region at a free fun day.
The event was organised by Helen McArdle Care and Kids 1st Nurseries for all their staff, as well as nursery clients and relatives of people living in care homes, including Foxton Court in Morpeth.
The fun day, which was held at Newcastle Racecourse, offered a range of attractions, from fairground rides and stalls to Irish dancing, a magician and a live performance by High School Glee.
Teams also took part in an assault course knock-out challenge.
And the event raised £1,200 in aid of The Children’s Foundation.
The charity’s Fund-raising Manager Libby Nolan said: “Once again the Kids 1st and Helen McArdle Care Family Fun Day was a fantastic event for all of the family.
“Without this support we would not be able to continue our vital work in the north east creating opportunities for happy, healthy, safe children.”
