St Mary’s Parish Church in Stannington is now offering a service that is less spiritual, but just as crucial for residents.

When the Post Office needed to relocate, the hunt was on to find a suitable venue and both the village hall and the Ridley Arms did not have the required availability, but the church did – and you can even have a cup of tea and a biscuit while you’re there.

The service, run by postmistress Debra Munday, is open on Mondays, from 1pm to 2.30pm, and Fridays, 9.15am to 10.45am.
