COUNTY HALL: Surely it’s a work of fiction

Recently I have read about newspapers being sent false, inaccurate and fabricated news.

I now realise that the continuing story we have been reading in the Morpeth Herald concerning the demolition of the relatively modern County Hall in Morpeth and building a replacement in Ashington is so ridiculous that it must be fictitious.

The originator is certainly to be congratulated because even members of the Labour county council have agreed with the proposal and the Conservative Leader Peter Jackson has taken trouble to oppose the idea and has also written opposition to it in letters to this newspaper.

How dull life would be if we were unable to enjoy being teased.
