POLICE are seeking information after a digger was stolen from a farm.
The yellow Ford New Holland model was taken from Belsay after it was parked near to farm buildings in Stamfordham Road.
East Tynedale Neighbourhood Inspector Kevin Oates said: “The thieves could have changed the registration plates and driven the digger away, or transported the digger away on a flat-back truck or tow truck.
“Any sightings of any suspicious vehicles in the area around the time the vehicle was taken should be reported to police.”
The theft took place between 11.30pm on Wednesday, April 11 and 11am the following day.
The digger’s licence plate is G45 DCS.
