POLICE are appealing for information after a spate of vandalism in Hadston.
Three homes were targeted between 6.30pm on Friday, February 3 and 10.30am on Saturday, February 4.
Two of them were in Chibburn Avenue where windows were smashed by small stones.
The window on the door to the communal entrance at Ladyburn House was also hit with a stone that same night.
Similar damage was caused to another property on Chibburn Avenue between midnight on Sunday, February 5 and 9.30am on Monday, February 6. This time a ball bearing was thrown.
Morpeth Neighbourhood Inspector Dave Simpson said: “This has been a mindless act of vandalism by someone or a group of people who have no respect for their community and we would urge anyone who knows who was responsible to let us know or to contact us if they saw anything suspicious in Hadston over that weekend.
“We have increased patrols in the area and made some disorder related arrests since this spate of damages and we will continue to do so to prevent further offences and deal with those responsible.”
Anyone with information about the offences is asked to contact police on 101, extension 69191.
