A MAN has appeared in court charged with causing the death of his older brother after an incident at a Morpeth shopping centre.
Well-known Morpeth man Michael Marshall, who was nicknamed Little Elvis for his love of karaoke, died in hospital in August after an altercation at Sanderson Arcade.
On Tuesday, his brother Anthony Marshall, 50, of Broome Road, Carrville, County Durham, appeared at Newcastle Crown Court charged with the manslaughter of the 52-year-old.
A provisional trial date was set for May 14, with a plea-and-case-management hearing scheduled for March 23.
Marshall was granted unconditional bail.
