Morpeth Neighbourhood Policing Team has welcomed a new member.

PC Andrea Taylor, who has more than 13 years experience with Northumbria Police, is the new Neighbourhood Beat Manager for Longhirst, Pegswood and Stobhill.

She has previously worked for 24/7 response teams in Byker, Newcastle, Morpeth and most recently Ashington, before moving back to Morpeth to join the neighbourhood team.

Sergeant Sharon Wilmore-Greaves said: “PC Taylor is a welcome addition to our team and has previous experience working in this area.

“She has previously worked for the Neighbourhood Team in Heaton, Newcastle, so has well-developed problem solving and mediation skills and knows how to take a partnership approach to issues.

“She’s worked in Morpeth before so is familiar with the area and local issues, and she’s wasted no time in getting to know her areas of Longhirst, Pegswood and Stobhill by introducing herself to key members of the community, partners and residents.”
