Police hunt on-the-run suspect

A FORMER Morpeth man has gone missing after being arrested on suspicion of fraud.

Police are seeking help from the public to trace John Henry Bond.

Bond, 56, is originally from the south of England, but formerly lived in Shields Road, Morpeth.

He was arrested in the town in February 2011 and was released on police bail, but has failed to answer bail and officers have been unable to find him.

It is believed that the suspect has now left the North East and he has links with Yorkshire and Nottingham, as well as abroad in Spain and France.

He is known to have used a number of false names including Christopher Bates, Professor Maddison Bond, David Fletcher, Dr Lewis, Ian Gibson, Michael Pallister, Christopher Phillips, Christopher Rogers, John Henry Maddison and Jonathan Henry Bond.

Bond has featured on BBC’s Crimewatch in the past.
