REVELLERS have been reminded to act responsibly over the bank holiday weekend.
Extra police will be on patrol throughout the county to ensure events and activities run smoothly, offer reassurance and deal with any problems.
Officers have warned people to drink sensibly and not leave themselves vulnerable to becoming involved in crime. They should ensure phones, purses and wallets, are stored safely.
Superintendent Gillian Mitchell said: “We know the bank holiday weekend is a popular weekend for people to be out and about enjoying the many attractions and events taking place across the county and we want to remind them to do so safely.”
