Don’t throw out unwanted goods

YOUNG Morpeth club members are preparing for their annual Bargain Bazaar – and donations would be welcome.

The annual fund-raising event for the Boys’ Brigade and 6th Morpeth Scout Group is a long-standing tradition in the town, offering an Aladdin’s cave of second-hand items for sale.

Books, pictures, furniture, glasswear, crockery, tools, ornaments, bric-a-brac, jewellery, toys and games can all be found, as well as bags and cases, fabrics and furnishings.

The sale is an important source of financial support for the youth groups.

This year, it will run at the Boys’ Brigade headquarters in Manchester Street from Saturday, November 17 to Saturday, November 24, from 9am to 4pm on Saturdays and 10am to 4pm through the week.

However, a facility is open now to accept donations for the sale.

People can take their items along to the Manchester Street venue any weekday evening, from 7pm to 9pm.
