EXAM success at Morpeth’s high school has carried through to AS-Levels.

Almost half of the exams taken at King Edward VI School this year were marked at A or B grades. Nineteen per cent achieved the top grade, while 22 per cent were grade B.

Headteacher Simon Taylor said: “This is about right for us and the results always go up for A-Levels so it is encouraging.”

Six students achieved a run of straight As in the exams.

They are: Holly Brown, Rosie Court, Cameron Forester, Tristan Selden, Ellen Tiffin and Rachael Todd.
