COUNTY residents can find out about the range of courses and apprenticeships available at Northumberland College campuses during two open days.
The first of the events is at Kirkley Hall, near Ponteland, on Saturday.
It will focus on courses linked to the rural economy including agriculture, horticulture and floristry, animal care and veterinary nursing, equine, arboriculture, countryside, outdoor education and renewable energies.
Between 10am and 1pm, visitors will be able to take a tour of the campus facilities, which include the equestrian centre with a 25-horse stable yard, vast gardens and greenhouses and the animal management centre.
A session is also taking place at the college’s Ashington campus on Wednesday from 4.30pm to 7pm. Those attending can find out more about the many programmes based at the site on College Road such as hair and beauty, early years, construction, art and design and travel and tourism.
Tutors will be available at the events to give advice on full and part-time courses in a wide range of subjects. Those attendees who select courses can apply immediately.
