HIGH ropes and ski walks were the order of the day at Kirkley Hall in an Intercollege Challenge Day.

Twelve centres entered the competition, organised by Northumberland College’s outdoor education students, with teams of six competing in a variety of activities, including high ropes and stackers, making a catapult and ski walks.

Seventeen-year-old Laura Hodgson, who was involved in organising the event, said: “The whole day was really good. Everyone got into the spirit of the competition and had fun. I think the activities which took place throughout the day really showcased the college, the facilities and in particular the outdoor education sector at Kirkley Hall.”

The winning team was from Tyne Metropolitan College.
