A PONTELAND teenager’s top-class exam results have put her among the best performing GCSE students in the country.
Chloe Hall received A*s in all of her 10 subjects and this is certainly a summer to remember for the 16-year-old as she has also been doing community work in Africa.
The Ponteland High School student got the highest grades in English literature, French, maths, biology, chemistry, physics, English language, history, geography and business studies.
“There are so many bits of paper that you have to get through when you open the envelope, but it was an amazing feeling when I saw how well I had done,” she said.
“It made all the hard work that I had put in over two years worthwhile.
“Earlier in the summer I went to Namibia in Africa for a month to help put together the foundations for community buildings and to do some trekking. It took me a year to raise the required amount of money to go on the trip.
“My mind was fully focused on that and I only started to think about my results when I came back home.
“I’d like to thank my mum and dad, as well as all my teachers, for their support.”
Chloe will now study biology, chemistry, maths and physics at AS-Level and she is aiming to study medicine at university.
