Hospice says hundreds of thanks

MORPETH school students were able to wear their own clothes for a day to raise funds for a county organisation.

A non-uniform day took place in aid of World Palliative Care Day and King Edward VI School Council has decided to donate the £500 collected to HospiceCare North Northumberland.

The nurse-led community service provides a day hospice, therapeutic clinics, complimentary therapies, lymphoedema care, bereavement support and hospice at home, which are all tailored and delivered to meet the needs of the individual and their families.

HospiceCare also offers friendship, empathy, and a safe place to talk about fears and hopes for the future.
