A number of children in Morpeth have started school lessons for the first time this week.
They include those pictured above, who were among the Goosehill Private Nursery pupils that enjoyed a graduation ceremony with their parents at its forest school site in Hepscott Park.
Everyone then shared drinks and s’mores around the fire pit.
Nursery manager Amanda Willis said: “A wonderful time was had by all and we were so sad to see our children move on to school.
“The forest school woodland provides pupils with a challenging and stimulating environment full of sensory diversity.”
