A GROUP of Ponteland children looked the part as they enjoyed a mock wedding ceremony.
As well as the bride and groom and their parents, pupils from Ponteland First School played the roles of bridesmaids, page boys, ushers and the best man.
Beautifully attired classmates all attended and threw confetti. The many adult guests were seated in the balcony and the ceremony at Ponteland Methodist Church was officiated by the Rev Ian Suttie.
The wedding reception afterwards included a five-tier cake.
Church family worker Hannah Middleton said: “We enabled the children to understand Christian celebrations more deeply by organising this fantastic wedding.
“The bride and groom exchanged friendship bracelets and promised friendship to each other.”
