A BUSY food business has hatched a plan to deliver dozens of Easter eggs to children in need.
Meldon Park’s Kitchen Garden Cafe is inviting customers to donate the treats to pass on to Barnardo’s North East, which will distribute them to some of the 18,000 children it supports in the region.
The charity helps children up to the age of 16 who are affected by poverty, disability, sexual abuse and domestic violence, as well as young carers.
The Kitchen Garden Cafe has previously collected books and Christmas gifts for the organisation.
Anyone wishing to donate a chocolate egg can leave it at the cafe until Sunday, April 13.
