A PLAQUE to commemorate Suffragette Emily Wilding Davison has been placed at her Morpeth graveside.

The tribute was temporarily installed on the grave railings in St Mary’s Churchyard last June on the 100th anniversary of Emily’s death.

Now it has been mounted on stone and placed beside the grave.

It was unveiled by Philippa Bilton, a relative of Emily’s, following the International Women’s Day service at the church on Monday, which is held annually to remember Emily and the achievements of women around the world.
