A whopping £175,000 has been handed to Northumberland Wildlife Trust from the People’s Postcode Lottery.

The donation takes the Trust’s total received from the charity lottery to £669,940. It will be used for conservation work, including repairing vandalised bird feeders, installing newt fencing at Hauxley and taking school groups into the countryside.

Chief Executive Mike Pratt said: “The invaluable support from players of the People’s Postcode Lottery means that we can get on and do what we do best – conserving wildlife.”
