SUMMER has just got even better for a county charity as it has been awarded a major funding boost.
The Northumberland Wildlife Trust has received another grant from players of People’s Postcode Lottery – this time for £76,000.
To date it has been given £470,940, which has had a huge impact on its conservation work, never more so than this year as it continues to lobby on issues such as the potential creation of marine conservation zones and changes to planning regulations.
The money is helping the trust at all levels. For example, its Wednesday Gardening Group has just bought some new gardening tools and a much-needed new wheelbarrow.
