A new project in a county village is causing a big buzz.

Following the establishment of a bee garden at one of its sites, those interested in looking after the area have set up a Pegswood Allotment Beekeepers’ Association.

There are currently five hives, each containing a swarm of bees. There is also a wooden cabin next to the garden, which is used for observation and educational purposes.

In this video, Pegswood Allotment Beekeepers’ Association member Fen Rice opens up one of the hives and explains how the bees operate.
