Trust is nearly there thanks to donations

MEMBERS of the public have been digging deep to help Northumberland Wildlife Trust’s Hauxley Land Appeal.

And after adding up all the donations over the summer, including grants from charitable trusts such as The Barbour Foundation and The Charles Hayward Foundation, the charity has discovered that it is now less than £4,000 short of its £75,000 target.

Once this has been reached, it will be able to purchase 12 acres of farmland adjacent to the current reserve site, allowing it to create circular walking routes, new pathways and habitats for local wildlife. For more information about how to donate, call 0191 2846884.
