A 36-strong group of wildfowlers and friends recently carried out their third annual clean-up of plastic and non-recyclable rubbish.
The event, organised jointly by the local wildfowlers, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) and the site managers Natural England, allow the wildfowlers to give back to the nature reserve and have a good excuse for a day out.

Shane Robinson, BASC wildfowling officer, said: “BASC is fully supportive of these incredible individual efforts, that collectively leave the environment in a far healthier condition. Full marks to the wildfowlers and friends who came from across the country and braved the snow showers and gales.”
