There was a good turnout when the Thursday Afternoon Coffee Group in Stobhill, Morpeth, celebrated its first birthday.

Town Mayor Nic Best, Mayoress Joan Howard, Deputy Mayor Alison Byard and people who have supported the Royal Voluntary Service-run group by giving talks also attended. Annie Stoppard celebrated her 95th birthday on this day and group members showed guests their proggy mat, which reflects the remembrance of lives lost in the First World War.
