A team of accountants braved the elements after getting on their bikes to raise money for North East charities.

Staff from all three Tait Walker bases, including Manchester Street in Morpeth, participated in the 140-mile Coast 2 Coast cycle challenge.

The group of 13 from the Morpeth and Newcastle offices, pictured above, completed the ride from Workington to Tynemouth in just two days.

Across the firm, more than £5,000 has been raised so far in sponsorship for a variety of good causes, including Percy Hedley Foundation, Bright Red, Tiny Lives and WATBus.

Tait Walker managing partner Andrew Moorby said: “The Coast 2 Coast challenges were a huge achievement for all of the staff involved.

“The participants and their colleagues showed fantastic support, especially throughout the training period.”
