THE following planning applications have been submitted to Northumberland County Council.

Belsay: Mr Robert Leiper, land north west of Bygate, Black Heddon, proposed steel portal framed extension measuring 7m long x 18.3m wide x 4.5m average height to eaves.

Mitford: Mr G Davis, Wildacre, Tranwell Woods, non-material amendment to application 12/02352/FUL to re-site garage from side of existing dwelling to the front; Mr G Davis, Wildacre, Tranwell Woods, outline planning permission for construction of new dwelling with some matters reserved (access).

Morpeth: Mr Mick Hill, 22 Abbey Meadows, change of use to class A2 and installation of two condenser units to rear elevation; also Advertisement Consent, installation of one internally illuminated fascia box sign; Environment Agency, Flood Alleviation Scheme areas along River Wansbeck, Oldgate, variation of condition 2 of application 12/02972/FULES to allow a minor material amendment to the approved works at St Robert of Newminster RC Church; Environment Agency, St George’s United Reformed Church, Bridge Street, reconstruction of the boundary wall to the south of St George’s Church; Environment Agency, St Robert’s Presbytery, Oldgate, Listed Building Consent, proposed development involves the construction of new flood defence walls abutting 1-4 Collingwood Terrace and Telford Bridge, the listed buildings will not be physically altered as a comprehensive filler will be placed between the buildings and the walls, the proposed development also involves new flood defence walls within the setting of two listed buildings, St Robert of Newminster RC Church and Morpeth Chantry.

Pegswood: J Collinson, Pegswood County First School, Longhirst Road, proposed installation of one 10kw micro wind turbine, 23m to tip.

Ponteland: Mr Scott Elland, 45 West Road, construction of two storey side extension to provide garage and bedroom; Mr Nick Wardle, 111 Middle Drive, Darras Hall, non-material amendment to application 11/02526/FUL (construction of single storey extension to rear and two storey extension to front including raising roof to create two storey dwelling with juliet balcony to rear), amendments to the garden wall; Mr and Mrs A Mate, 5 Greenacres, demolition of existing garage and utility/cloakroom, construction of two storey side extension, conservatory and porch, resubmission of previous application 13/00415/FUL; Mr Allen Child Fidra, land north west of Kirkholme, Tilery Cottages, Kirkley, construction of residential house on site of nursery for employee/manager to monitor business, premises and equipment; Mrs Dawn O’Donnell, land north of Furze Hill, conversion of stable block outbuildings into a dwelling; Mr Onkar Dhanoya, 31 Bell Villas, change of use from C3 residential to D1 non-residential institutions (dental practice), with a new entrance porch and vehicular access and parking; Mr and Mrs Colin and Rachel Seller, 17 Regency Way, Darras Hall, non-material amendment to application 12/02107/FUL (minor design changes to construction of two storey infill to front and single storey sun room to rear).

Stannington: Banks Mining, Shotton Opencast Coal Site, extension of operational surface coal mine to extract an additional 250,000 tonnes of coal, 30,000 tonnes of fireclay and 10,000 tonnes of sandstone, extending the life of the existing mine by one year (completion of coaling by 2017, restoration by 2019).

Tritlington and West Chevington: Mr F Ryle, land north east of Earsdon West Cottage, Earsdon, proposed installation of Tozzi Nord TN535 domestic wind turbine 21.60m to tip.
