Wansbeck General Hospital has received some useful funds.

Each year, Ellington Flower Club raises money for a good cause that supports or is available to local residents and this time round the raffles, tombolas, flower sales and an open garden event brought in £850 – £200 will go to the Oasis Suite and the rest is for the palliative care ward. The club, which meets every second Thursday of the month from 7.30pm at the Welfare Social Centre, gave a cheque to two hospital staff.
