A FREE event to explore how local communities can protect themselves from flooding will be held in Morpeth Town Hall this evening.
The Environmental Law Foundation will host the session to inform people of their legal rights and the opportunities to participate in the planning process.
For the Morpeth event, it has booked speakers Stuart Wardlaw, Partner at Dickinson Dees, who will outline the planning process in the context of flooding, and Peter Glaves, from the Division of Environmental Management at Northumbria University, who will explore flood defence options.
It will be held in the Corn Exchange from 6.30pm to 7.45pm. It is open to the public, but attendees must RSVP to Peter Wiggins on 0207 404 1136 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
