YOUNG children from the Pegswood Community Hub Toddler Group made a splash during a recent visit.
Eight members, accompanied by seven adults, went along to Pegswood Community Fire Station and they were looked after by Blue Watch.
As well as having a look at the appliances and equipment, some of the mums got to dress up in the firefighter gear and some of the children helped to squirt water from one of the pumps.
The station, which opened in 2010, has two full-time crews and one part-time crew and it is also the base for a swift water rescue team.
The group, known as the Piplings, meets every Tuesday at the Community Hub between 9.15am and 11am.
