Fund-raising goes on for project

A FUND-RAISING event in memory of a charity founder has raised more than £1,300.

The charity auction was held at the Riverside Lodge in Morpeth last month in aid of the Jitegemee African school building project.

The event was also a tribute to Jitegemee founder Carlotta Johnson, of Hepscott, who died suddenly last autumn.

She set up the charity with her sister Liz to build a school in Tanzania.

Now friends in Morpeth are determined to raise the funds to complete the project in Mrs Johnson’s memory.
