SOME familiar faces in Morpeth town centre are rolling up their sleeves this weekend for charity.

The Beadles at Sanderson Arcade are offering a shoe shine service. This is the latest activity organised by the shopping centre to raise money for the Sick Children’s Trust.

They will be on duty in the piazza area throughout the Bank Holiday weekend, charging just £3 a pair. Timpson has donated the polish for the activity.

Sanderson Arcade centre manager Medi Parry said: “We are all trying hard to reach our £10,000 target for the Sick Children’s Trust, which is our nominated charity this year.

“It really is a fantastic cause and we hope our shoppers will come and support us and get their shoes shined throughout the weekend.”

The charity provides accommodation to families of sick children across the North East. For more information, visit its website – www.sickchildrenstrust.org
