A NORTHUMBERLAND MP has popped into a charity shop to find out more about its work.
Wansbeck Member Ian Lavery visited a ‘pop-up’ British Heart Foundation shop at Westminster.
The charity set up the shop to highlight the importance of its retail outlets in raising vital funds for research into coronary heart disease.
Mr Lavery said: “The work of the British Heart Foundation has been central to the discoveries of vital treatments that are changing the fight against heart disease.
“Every pound raised and every donation made to a local Foundation shop helps make a real difference to people’s lives.”
