A HARD-WORKING community group is inviting Stobhill residents to find out more about its activities.
The Stobhill Community Forum was set up by local residents in 2007 to improve the Morpeth estate and build better neighbourhood relations.
The group has since organised trips to the theatre and seaside, family shows, events, bulb planting and litter picks and is currently playing a major role in shaping regeneration plans for the area.
The project is being led by Mandy Rackham, of Groundwork, who will report on progress at the forum’s annual meeting on Monday.
And all residents are invited to attend.
Ms Rackham said: “We are making great progress and will be reporting back to the meeting on January 31.
“Please come along and discuss the plans we have to improve Stobhill.
“If you like what you hear, new members are always welcome.”
The meeting will be held at The Black Swan in Shields Road at 7pm.
Apart from the annual meeting, the forum also meets at the pub on the first Monday of each month at 7pm.
All residents are also welcome to these monthly meetings.
