BRIDE and groom Ann and Daniel Webb certainly made sure their wedding had star quality.
The happy couple, who met at high school, not only had a star theme for their invitations and table settings, but each of the 70 guests at their big day was given a white star-shaped balloon.
And they made quite a sight as they processed from the ceremony at Morpeth Town Hall to the Riverside Lodge on Friday for the reception.
NHS administrator Ann, nee Tweedy, said: “We came up with the balloon idea to make our wedding a bit more special and exciting.
“With the Riverside Lodge being just down the road from the Town Hall we thought it would be nice for the guests to walk down together and the balloons would be a great photo opportunity.
“We love Morpeth and we knew that even if we couldn’t have our reception there we would do something in the town because it is so picturesque and beautiful, and we wanted the balloons to be a celebration of that.”
The couple first got together nine years ago and went to university together before settling in their home town of Ashington.
They will honeymoon in Mexico.
