PONTELAND residents are being urged to attend Fairtrade Fortnight events.
They include two big brew coffee mornings. The first one is on Saturday at St Mary’s Church Hall, Thornhill Road, between 10am and noon, and the second is being held at St Matthew’s Church Hall, West Road, on Saturday, March 1 (10am to noon).
People can sample and purchase goods and there will be a grand raffle of Fairtrade products donated by Ponteland’s supermarkets.
The other events are a Traidcraft Stall in Ponteland United Reformed Church, Broadway, at Sunday Worship (10am), a coffee morning in Merton Hall on Friday, March 7 (9.30am to 11.30am) and an open door cafe at Ponteland Methodist Church on Monday, March 10 from 1pm.
