FREE flu vaccines are available at Northumberland pharmacies, patients have been reminded.
NHS North of Tyne has set up the service with participating pharmacists across the county to make it easier for patients to receive their jab.
The free vaccine is available to those in ‘at risk’ groups.
There is no need to make an appointment at a pharmacy, but patients must take along photo identification and a letter from their GP to prove they are eligible.
Community Pharmacy Development Lead Ann Gunning said: “This scheme makes it easier for people who are working or have busy lives and find it hard to find the time to make an appointment with their GP to have the flu vaccine.”
