Talk will provide update on range of research into multiple sclerosis

Those attending an information event hosted by the South East Northumberland branch of the MS Society on Wednesday evening will hear about the latest news and developments regarding the condition.

Anyone whose life is affected by multiple sclerosis is invited to a talk by Kim Bonnar, biomedical research officer at the MS Society, about ‘Breaking Boundaries in MS Research’.

This will include an update on the current situation and details about the future aims of the society.

In addition, Northumberland MS specialist nurses from the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will be talking about the local provision of services.

Local support development officer Sheila Crawford said: “The information event is a great way of hearing about the exciting range of research currently taking place that is funded by the MS Society, and it’s a great way of meeting other people affected by MS.”

It is being held at the Holiday Inn, Seaton Burn. Attendance is free but places must be booked in advance.
