Morpeth Lions Club

A SET of prizes is once again available for Morpeth residents who take part in an annual fund-raising initiative.

Morpeth Lions Club’s Dickens of a Draw has been going for more than 20 years and it has brought in many thousands of pounds for local charities and groups.

Tickets are provided so all the organisations have to do is sell them and whatever they raise is returned to them in January.

This year’s 40 prizes to mark the club’s 40th anniversary include a first prize of a £500 holiday for a week in any of the Parkdean Holidays sites kindly donated by the company’s director John Waterworth, a second prize of a two-night mini-break for two people at Linden Hall and a third prize of a weekend for two with dinner, bed and breakfast at the Twin Oaks Hotel near Chesterfield.

Any charity or group not already involved can telephone organiser Mike Nicholson on 07836 582825 for more information or to get a batch of tickets.
